the hollow chocolate bunnies of the apocalypse

The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse is an award winning book, penned by Robert Rankin.  In 2006, I decided I wanted to turn Robert’s book in to an animated feature film.  On this website you will find a record of my progress, the highs and the lows.  I hope the information will help you trying to write or produce your own film, whether it be a short, documentary, live action, animation or something else altogether.

In 2005 a small group of us were finishing work on a multi-part CG television series and we were introduced to HCBOA.  For as many years as we can remember it has been our obsession to get the book turned in to an animated feature  here is our journey ...

THE SYNOPSIS - HCBOA tells the tale of Jack, a naive young man, who set out to make his fortune in the City selling clockwork bicycles.  Typically Jack gets lost and arrives in Toy City, where he is mugged robbed and he has his clockwork bicycle stolen.

Coming round from unconsciousness, Jack discovers all the City folk have clockwork bicycles but worse he is befriended by a hard drinking, fast talking slow walking teddy bear - Eddie.  The diminutive teddy needs a partner to help solve the terrible murders that are eliminating the City’s elite one by one in the most grizzly way.  Promised untold riches, Jack agrees to help Eddie on what will be the most bizarre journey you will ever have seen.

This is the darkest, funniest crime caper you have yet to see!
